It’s just a building
Where the big kids would go.
In my eyes they were stars.
I wonder, “Did they know?”
It’s just a building
A whole two blocks wide
We’d pass by each day
I’d wonder, “What’s inside?”
It’s just a building
Eventually I grew into.
Gracing the halls
And all that was new.
It’s just a building
That soon became a home.
Friendly faces
Wherever I would roam.
It’s just a building
That saw me grow.
Witnessed mistakes
The highs and the lows.
It’s just a building
Where memories were made.
I’ll hold on forever.
Never to fade.
It’s just a building
But one I’ll hold dear.
As I say goodbye
This senior year.
