The angel came down
From God to say
That Mary will have a baby
On Christmas Day.
His name will be Jesus
God’s only Son,
He will show that God loves everyone.
Mary and Joseph traveled far, far away,
When they got to Bethlehem,
They had no place to stay.
God gave them a stable,
And a manger of hay,
For Jesus to sleep on,
A soft place to lay.
The shepherds were watching
And angel caused a fright!
“Do not be afraid”
On this glorious night.
A baby is born,
For you and for you,
The shepherds ran
When they heard this good news.
Then wise men came
Following a star,
All the way to Jesus
They came from afar.
They knelt before Jesus
And gave Him their love.
A sweet baby boy
Sent from our God above.
As we celebrate Christmas
Let’s put Jesus first
He’s God’s gift to us
From that night of His birth.
