When a teacher gets idea, she's going to be distracted as it rolls around in her head.
Once she’s settled on the idea, she’s going to start to plan.
When she’s done planning, she’s going to start collecting the materials.
Then she'll wander into the art room to ask for green felt.
When she looks around the art room, she’ll notice some green burlap.
So she'll probably ask if she can use that as well.
When she’s finished hauling it all to her room, she'll find a box to put it in.
When she moves the box, she’ll see a pile of papers to organize!
When she's done organizing, she'll sit down to write the lesson plan.
She’ll be reminded of an article she read on engineering.
She’ll sift through the pile until the article is found.
She’ll start to reorganize the lesson to weave the engineering components into the math objectives.
When she looks at the clock, she’ll realize it’s time to go home.
She’ll make a note to pick up boxes for the project from the grocery store.
She’ll stop by the grocery store to pick up ingredients for supper.
When she walks in the door at home with her groceries, she’ll realize she forgot the boxes. And chances are, when she realizes her forgetfulness,
she’s going to start thinking about the lesson idea again.
